Garth Brooks, aged 54 is an American country pop singer and songwriter. He is well known for integrating pop and rock and roll elements into the country genre. Brooks has had massive success in the country single and album charts having had recorded multi-platinum recordings and record-breaking live shows.

RIAA has declared him best-selling solo albums artist in the United States. He has sold over 138 million domestic units, more than that of Elvis Presley. He is considered second only to The Beatles in terms of total album sales overall. All in all, he is considered one of the best-selling artists of all time, not within United States but all over the world with 160 million records.

Brook’s profile as a musician is so extensive that it doesn’t stop at that. He is the only artist in the history of music to have seven diamond status album releases so far. The following are the seven albums;

Brooks retired from recording and performing from 2001 until 2009 during which time he sold millions of albums through a deal with Walmart and occasionally released new singles. 2005 saw Brook’s partial comeback, with selective performances and two albums.

Later in 2009 Brooks started a weekend residency show at Las Vegas named Garth at Wynn, which continued till 2014. After that Brooks signed with Sony Music Nashville and he began his comeback tour, The Garth Brooks World Tour, with wife and Trisha Yearwood. His most recent album was released on November 11, 2014, titled “Man Against Machine”, on his online music store, GhostTunes.

Brooks was elated into the Country Music Hall of Fame on October 21, 2012.

The net worth of this all timer was calculated by Forbes to be at $70 million in 2016, and was ranked on #15 amongst the 100 most paid celebrities.
