How Much Money Does Benny Hinn Make? (Salary & Net Worth)

Televangelist Benny Hinn is best known for his television program, This is Your Day, which features his notable and frequent Miracle Crusades. Worth an estimated $40 Million, Hinn was originally born in the Jaffa region of Israel. Hinn was born to Palestinian Christian parents who raised him in the Eastern Orthodox faith. That all changed for Hinn after Hinn’s family emigrated to Toronto, Canada to escape the aftermath of the Arab-Israeli War of 1967.

Converting to a New Faith
During his teenage years in Toronto, Hinn converted from the Eastern Orthodox tradition to the Pentecostal faith. Hinn reportedly became so devoted to his new faith during this period of time that his family expressed concerns of him transforming into a religious fanatic. In December of 1973, Hinn boarded a charter bus from Toronto to Pittsburgh to attend his first “miracle service.” The service was conducted by Kathryn Kuhlman. Hinn would go on to attend several the evangelist’s miracle services and attribute much of his success to Kuhlman’s early influence.

Building an Empire
A decade later, Hinn moved to the United States and opened up his first religious center,
The Orlando Christian Center, in Orlando, Florida. Hinn held regular faith healing services in his church, which he termed “Miracle Crusades.” Hinn’s Miracle Crusades become so popular that the programs were regularly held in packed stadiums and auditoriums. By 1989, Hinn held the first nationally televised faith healing service in Flint, Michigan. This televised event catapulted Hinn and his faith healings into the national spotlight, and during the early 1990’s Hinn secured his own daily talk show, This is Your Day, on Paul Crouch’s Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Hinn’s 30-minute long talk show regularly featured Hinn and his assistants reading viewer submitted letters and praying for viewers. The better part of the program showcased highlights and clips from the televangelist’s “Miracle Crusades.” Hinn’s spiritual leadership and church rapidly grew in response to the show. Hinn’s fortune primary comes from his books, CDs, audio tapes, and movies given to viewers in exchange for offerings.

Nearly 10 years after the show launched Hinn stepped down from the show and stepped down as pastor of his ministry, due to years of criticism from fellow Christian leaders. This is Your Day still airs in syndication on several faith-based national television stations and several local stations. Hinn still holds “Miracle Crusades” in major cities all across the globe. In 2007, Hinn held the largest recorded healing service in history in India with over 7 million people in attendance.

Hinn has claimed to reach over one billion people through his spiritual leadership, and high profile public figures, such as Evander Holyfield, have recognized Hinn for healing them.

Hinn also spreads his message via support of over 60 mission organizations and orphanages across the globe. Hinn’s philanthropy supports over 40,000 children each day and feeds over 100,000 children each year. Hinn’s Ministry has donated six-figures to the relief efforts for major natural disasters, such as the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort and the Tsunami Relief Effort of 2005.

  1. you know what, Mr. Hinn is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I used to admire him and for a little time in my life started almost worshiping him. I sent everything I had to him slowly and all i got was empty promises. At the end it all seemed like I didn;t have “enough faith” for my healing and financial problems to get solved. I now attend a bible reading and teaching church and realize that happiness is not in health nor wealth but knowing and being in a relationship with our lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

I did notice recently where he rebuked osteen for prosperity teaching so I pray and hope mr. hinn is starting to see the truth. God bless and I do not mean this comment in a harmful way. We are all wrong and so desperatly need the truth in our life. All I’m saying is that everything should be examined by the bible.
